THE WAR IN IRAN: TWO READINGS OF THE SAME EXPLOSIONS
On Friday the 28th of February 2026, the US and Israel began bombing Iran. Iran retaliated. I recorded nine videos this week on this issue with the analysts that I trust, and that I feature regularly on my channel. They do not agree, and can be split into 2 camps. Below are the two arguments, laid out broadly. You decide.

THE BLUNDER OF TRUMP
Alex Krainer called the attack on Iran, “a colossal, potentially fatal blunder.”
Weeks after declaring at Davos that America was embracing multipolarity, Trump launched an unprovoked assault on Iran. Iran’s Supreme Leader was killed during good-faith negotiations. “
You negotiated, people came to discuss your terms, and at that moment you killed them all,” Krainer said. “It doesn’t matter what the intentions are. This is what the whole world sees.”

Harley Schlanger, President of the LaRouche Organisation argued that the war’s justification is built on the same lie as Iraq: an imminent nuclear threat the entire US intelligence establishment says doesn’t exist. Harley asserted that the real driver is Netanyahu’s Greater Israel project: a 40-year dream Bibi boasted about openly this week. No previous president has given in to pressure to attack Iran. Only Trump. Trump’s shot at regime change will fail and could lead to the political destruction of Trump himself. Historically, regime change by air campaign has been attempted 60 times with a zero percent success rate.

Alex and Krainer both said that due to the attack, the US had jeopardised its relationships with Russia and China, empowered his political enemies, at home, opened himself to the risk of impeachment, and pulled America back into the post-war order he had promised to dismantle.

THE STRATEGY OF TRUMP
Tom Luongo, Ret’d General Blaine Holt, Barbara Boyd, and EM Burlingame see something different. They consider this assault on Iran as an assault on the City of London and its strategy of continuous conflict in order to better divide and rule, or as Alex Krainer refers to as shaking the ant jar.

Their argument is that Britain controls both sides. Israel was created as a Western military outpost in the Levant. Iran’s theocracy served as an opponent to Israel. Together the two nations operate as an engine of chaos, forever preventing regional peace. The IRGC’s nuclear programme was the “forever war” as Luongo called it. Not a weapon but a permanent source of instability. Barbara Boyd asserted that the first Ayatollah, Ayatollah Khomeini was deployed by MI6 and CIA. General Holt added that Israel was preparing to act unilaterally, possibly with nuclear weapons. Tthis led to Trump stepping in to prevent a nuclear conflagaration.

The Gulf states responded by uniformly condemned Iran, not Israel. Lebanon announced it would disarm Hezbollah.

They all asked why isn’t Britain taking an active part, as it has in every American Middle East misadventure in the last 40 years.? Why has the British government under Starmer refused to join in? NATO too said it wouldn’t get involved. Perhaps the reason for this is because “The IRGC works for the City of London,” said Luongo.

The biggest tell of London’s connection to the Iran? When Lloyds of London refused to insure ships through the Strait of Hormuz. Without this insurance, ships would not risk the journey as they would not be able to recover their losses in the event of a missile strike. Trump immediately announced that the United States would provide the insurance and a naval escort. EM Burlingame csaid that not only had the US taken this business for itself, it had also deprived the City of London of “the control mechanism tof global trade that it had used for over 300 years.

SEEING THROUGH THE FOG
Alex, Tom, Susan, Harley and the others all agree that there is a tremendous amount of propaganda, misdirection and low quality and poor quality information regarding this conflict. Parsing it all, and working out what is happening and why is a challenge. I listen to Krainer and Schlanger and I understand their arguments. I listen to Luongo and Holt and I understand their arguments. What I know for certain is that people are dying, and that is always a tragedy. Watch the videos. Make up your own mind. And if you’re in Britain, go to notaxforwar.com and learn how you can easily, legally, peacefully use Trusts to withhold your taxes as a protest against war and/or any other policy that you oppose from Starmer’s government.
